A 2010 graduate of Randolph Union High School, Sam lives in Goleta, California, where she recently graduated from Westmont College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art, and is now an Art teacher at Dos Pueblos High School in Santa Barbara.
Our Career and Workforce Pathways Director was recognized by the New England Secondary School Consortium (NESSC) and the Vermont Agency of Education as the 2017 VT State Champion for workforce development, personalization, and proficiency/standards-based graduation initiatives.
RU students are accepted to an array of colleges every year, including some of the nation’s most prestigious and competitive schools. In the last three years, RU graduates have attended an impressive list of schools, including: Columbia, Syracuse, Pratt School of Design, McGill University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University of Chicago, UMASS Amherst, University of Vermont, College of the Atlantic, Hamilton College, Hampshire College, Macalester College, Middlebury College, and St. Lawrence University.
The Orange Southwest School District serves students and families in the towns of Randolph, Braintree, and Brookfield, Vermont. Our three elementary schools provide services to students from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Randolph Union High School serves students from grades seven through twelve; and the Randolph Technical Career Center provides technical education services for juniors and seniors from communities throughout Central Vermont.
